A Melbourne Institution – The Croft Institute is tucked at the end of a winding Chinatown alley well off the beaten track. Getting there is part of the experience as you wander past street art covered walls and the back entrances of some of Melbourne’s finest Chinese restaurants.
Spread over three levels with licensed bars on the ground and second floor, there is no cooler place to chill. The ground floor is designed as a Science Lab with a massive collection of all manner of curious glassware displayed throughout. Wind down after work listening to urban grooves and cool jazz in this low key and relaxed space. The 1st level houses the departments of Male and Female hygiene while the 2nd floor Gymnasium complete with real grass bar opens on the weekends where the DJ’s spin upbeat tracks to please even the most discerning crowd.
The Cocktail list is extensive and unusual, the wine list is upmarket and boutique, and the beers are cold.
The Croft Institute is available for functions, parties, launches and performance artists.
