Description
Situated at the end of Central Pier’s historic runway and housed in a 1914 heritage-listed cargo shed, Alumbra is an authentic warehouse conversion with an opulent penthouse feel. A destination venue to be discovered and explored, Alumbra is surrounded on three sides by water and offers 360-degree views of the Docklands precinct, Bolte Bridge and city skyline.
Modular in design with a host of intimate spaces to uncover, Alumbra can accommodate up to 700 people across the main bar, function space and lounge-style mezzanine Privé Lounge, which offers table service, bottle storage and supper until 3am.
Other key features include an impressive glass dance floor that provides views down into the illuminated waters of Victoria Harbour. Signature Buddhas add to the mystique of the venue and its trademark lattice screens are featured in and around the main bar and event space.
The sleek illuminated bar, specially commissioned glass chandeliers and candy-striped carpets in luscious pink and purple tones are juxtaposed against the weathered, rustic features of Shed 9 - giving Alumbra an edgy, underground feel.
Try one of Alumbra’s traditional sheishas (Arabic water pipes) that come with a selection of scented tobaccos.
