This modest little place is a terrific addition to the inner-city pub scene. Good Food and good company. The compact and comfortable public bar is a civilised location for a beer or quality glass of wine. Informal enough to feel like a pub and pretty enough to encourage good manners.

The dining room is working hard to put it on the list of great Melbourne's Gastro Pub map, but the bar meals are so good you might never make it that far. This place is really worth a look for the history but even more so for the food!
