Description

Under the heart of Melbourne's central business and shopping precinct lies one of the city's most unique entertainment venues. The Hi-Fi began its life in World War II as the first Newsreel cinema in Melbourne.

Over the last six decades, the venue has had many different incarnations, and today stands as one of the premier live entertainment venues in Melbourne. It has played host to stars such as Powderfinger, The Foo Fighters, Regurgitator, Roy and HG, Rove Live and is home to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
