Yet another new inhabitant in the cargo sheds, Shed 5 – as conceived by Loop Creative – pitches for a more ‘lived in’ atmosphere compared to the showroom finish of its South Wharf compadres.

The cavernous interior comes with an impressive ‘5’ mural of tiles over one length of wall. Chef Vasilios Donoudis incorporates a wood-fired oven into the mix for distinctive Mediterranean flavours, while cured eel, tuna, sardines and anchovies come under their own menu section called ‘Tin, Jars & Cans’.

Given Donoudis’ close working relationship with television celebrity chef George Calombaris, this is one to keep on the radar.
