Entries open 1 February for students in years 3 to 8 to enter the Cooks' Cottage School Writing Challenge.

Cooks’ Cottage invites school students to experience its rich history in a whole new light, with the launch of an interactive, fun and inspiring new education program. Developed to complement schools curriculum, our program will enhance students’ historical knowledge, understanding of local history and personal narrative skills.

INVESTIGATE life in the eighteenth century and how this compares with today's society.

DISCOVER the life and adventures of explorer Captain James Cook and his place in Australian history.

PARTICIPATE in a range of practical activities using interpretive artefacts, maps and period costumes to reinforce learning principles.

REMEMBER their experience by participating in a post-visit competition.
