Description
Platform Artists Group Inc. was established by artists Andrew Seward and Richard Holt in 1990 as a non-profit public art organisation. 20 years on and as Melbourne's longest running artists-run initiative and public art project in the CBD, Platform continues to provide an engaging contemporary art program to public audiences at its two main locations: Campbell Arcade, the pedestrian underpass linking Flinders Street Railway Station to Degraves Street and the nearby Majorca Building in Centre Way Arcade off Flinders Lane.
Platform is supported by the City of Melbourne through the Arts & Culture Triennial Program 2009-2011, by the Victorian Government through Arts Victoria, and by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
