Seafarers Bridge

Description

Seafarers Bridge is Melbourne's newest bridge over the Yarra River. This beautiful arched footbridge crosses from the newly constructed Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, in the South Wharf precinct. The bridge forms a vital connection between the river-front and the city’s waterfront at Docklands.

The bridge’s name reflects Melbourne’s rich maritime history, with the ‘Mission to Seafarers’ centre nearby. This is an international organisation which cares for the practical and spiritual welfare of seafarers of all nationalities and faiths.
