Description

Melbourne Library Service offers vibrant community spaces for everyone to enjoy including spaces and meeting rooms for community groups to hire; Gallery and projections; free Internet and word processing.

Its collections include community languages – Chinese, Vietnamese and others; extensive music and film collections on CD and DVD; local history; reference, nonfiction and fiction for all tastes, from genre to edgy.

Public programs support lifelong learning and include programs for children and families; bookgroups and other events on a range of subjects; a home library service to housebound residents; reference and homework help services; and 24 hour access via our virtual library service.

City Library partners with Craft Victoria to present Craft Hatch – an incubator market that showcases the work of student and emerging designers. Craft Hatch is an opportunity to purchase hand-made products direct from the designer; including homewares, jewellery, clothing, accessories and stationery. Markets are held on the second Saturday of every month, 11am-4pm, at City Library Gallery.
