Museo Italiano tells the story of the Italian community in Victoria, with a focus on Carlton. The Museo explores interactions between the Italian and non-Italian community and the nature of contemporary Italian Australian identity.The Museo was developed as a focus of the Lygon Street precinct with funding from the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Cultural Precincts Enhancement fund and support from the City of Melbourne.
