Melbourne Park 

Description

Melbourne Park (originally called the National Tennis Centre) is best known as the venue for the Australian Open tennis Grand Slam tournament, held here since its construction in 1988. The area incorporates Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena, Margaret Court Arena, over 20 outside courts and the Melbourne Park Function Centre. Melbourne Park’s venues host all manner of sport and entertainment, functions and exhibitions. Major tenants include Tennis Australia and NBL team South Dragons.

Tours of Rod Laver Arena operate daily (see website for details) and the outside courts are available for hire (contact Tennis World on 1300 836 647 or tennisworld@tennis.com.au).
