The Ermenegildo Zegna Group is the world leader in fine men's clothing. It has a yearly output of two million metres of fabric, 500,000 sleeve units, almost 1.5 million sportswear items, and 1.7 million accessories. Ninety per cent of turnover is derived from clothing and accessories, 10 per cent from textiles and over 86 per cent of all sales are exported. The Group is still a “family business” and is managed by the fourth generation of the family. In the 1980s the Group's process of vertical integration was completed with the opening of the first single-brand boutique.
