Last Dinosaurs

Last Dinosaurs produce catchy indie-pop tunes with a unique blend of tropical beats and ambient guitar. Comprised of brothers Sean and Lachlan Caskey, Dan Koyama and Sam Gethin-Jones, the group has been playing together since late 2007.

After some young Japanese bands loved what they heard on the Last Dinosaurs Myspace page, the band were invited to play shows in Tokyo. With three of the band members having Japanese heritage, the band saw the trip as an undeniable opportunity to connect with a country they hold dear.

In 2009, the band uploaded their demo to Triple J’s Unearthed site and was soon being interviewed as feature artists. Triple J played their 'Honolulu' track repeatedly. They have gone on to appear at Splendour in the Grass, Falls, Southbound, Laneway, Parklife and Stonefest festivals.

Last Dinosaurs are currently recording their debut album at BJB Studios with JP Fung. UK producer Elliot James (Kaiser Chiefs, Two Door Cinema Club) is set to mix the much-anticipated album which is set for release early 2012.

The band is signed to Australian indie label Dew Process, home to Mumford and Sons, Powderfinger, Living End and the Grates.
