South Wharf has an enviable location on the southern bank of the Yarra, surrounded by many shopping, dining and conference facilities.

South Wharf Promenade is home to some of Melbourne's most exciting hospitality talent, housed in lovingly restored heritage cargo sheds.

These cafes and restaurants boast one of the most beautiful waterside views in Melbourne, all within easy reach of the central city.

Getting there

South Wharf is a leisurely ten-minute walk along the river from Southbank and Federation Square, or a short stroll over the Seafarers Bridge from Northbank and Docklands. There is ample parking at South Wharf if you are driving.

If you're coming by public transport, tram numbers 96, 109 and 112 stop opposite the Clarendon Street entrance of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, otherwise tram number 70 stops at the end of Flinders Street - just walk towards the Yarra River and cross the new Seafarers pedestrian bridge to reach South Wharf.  Southern Cross train station is also a short stroll from South Wharf.

For something a bit different, Melbourne Water Taxis operate day and night all week, offering a pick up and drop off service for passengers at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre landing, and they will soon have access to the Hilton Hotel landing at South Wharf.
